Welcome to the Lac La Biche Region
A winter paradise!
Situated just 225 kilometres northeast of Edmonton is a little piece of paradise. The Lac La Biche Region is the ideal fall/winter getaway destination, whether you're looking for adventure or just looking to enjoy a relaxing day in the sun. With more than 150 lakes in the area, you can spend the day ice fishing, cross-country skiing or enjoying a high-flying adventure along our hundreds of kilometres of snowmobile trails.
But it's not all about the trails, trees and snow. There are also events to check out, including the Winter Festival of Speed and the Kinsmen On The Pond Hockey Tournament. The Lac La Biche Region also offers visitors the chance to explore some of Western Canada's oldest history, built on generations of multicultural influence. Check this Calgary Herald story out for more.
As you can tell, Lac La Biche, Plamondon and the surrounding Lac La Biche County are steeped with interesting history, scenic beauty and rich cultural diversity. So please, come and check it out.
Don't forget your sense of adventure... We've got quite a natural playground!
