With over 1,300 campground sites in the Lac La Biche region, there are plenty of services and non-serviced sites to suit your camping experience. Campsites are available in a variety of sizes and locations, whether you are bringing your RV or looking for a backcountry tenting experience.

7km west of Lac La Biche on HWY 663, this is a group use area with a fully serviced rental hall and kitchen facility with room for RV parking and tenting. No camping stalls are serviced, fire pits are available for use, but visitors must provide their own firewood. There is a soccer field near-by and the grounds are surrounded with boreal forest. Please call in advance for facilityinquiries and bookings.

6km east of Lac La Biche on HWY 663, 98 sites with 60 serviced sites with water and power hook-ups available. The campground has a range of facilities for visitors: showers, boat launch, playground, on-site store, day-use beach, and a swimming area. Firewood is available for purchase.

Just past Beaver Lake Provincial Park Campground, 6km east of Lac La Biche, on HWY 663, there are 5 sites with water and power hook-ups available. Firewood is provided at no cost, and there is a boat launch, with some group sites having easy access to beach and swimming areas.

The campground resides within Beaver Lake Cree Nation, 6km south from Lac La Biche on HWY 36, continue following the signs another 12km to get to the campground. Offering 271 sites with a variety of water and power hook-ups and a dumping station on-site. Shower facilities, boat launch, playground, with beaches and swimming areas at various points throughout the campground.

Young’s Beach Campground

Only 2km east along HWY 663 east of Lac La Biche, turn south onto Young’s Beach Road and follow for 2km to the campground. Here you will find 85 sites with water, sewage, and power hook-ups available. Firewood is provided at no cost, with amenities like showers, a playground, boat launch, boat rentals, and a large beach and swimming area for everyone to enjoy.

Crow Lake Provincial Park Campground

A scenic drive of 179km north of Lac La Biche along HWY 63, this campground is found in Crow Lake Provincial Park. There are 30 sites, currently without any water services available. Firewood is not provided. The lake does not permit motorized-boat use, making this and ideal lake for paddling. A hand-launch for non-motorized use is available, along with two non-flush outhouses. With Crow Lake Ecological Reserve on the south parts of the lake, this is a sanctuary for birds and wildlife. Foot access for hiking in the ecological reserve is permitted. No ATV activity in this area is allowed.

Fork Lake Campground

South 20km of Lac La Biche on HWY 36, 40km southeast on HWY 55, and 2km south on HWY 867, there are 43 sites available, with some having power hook-ups available. Firewood is provided at no cost, there is a playground and boat launch available, with a large whitesand beach and swimming area.

Heart Lake Campground

Ironwood Lake Campground

Found in Lakeland Provincial Park Recreation Area, this campground is 16km south of Lac La Biche and 32km east. Firewood is provided at no cost, with a boat launch, swimming area, and water-pump services available. It is a tranquil lake with an abundance of birds and wildlife.

Camp 3F Group Camp

Camp 3F is situated on the Western shore of Lac La Biche lake just 2 km North of Plamondon on Hwy 858 and 5 km Northeast on TWP Road 681.  This camping area is a single group area for private bookings.

The facility offers indoor washrooms, a heated recreation hall with 40 x 26 dance floor, a kitchen with a dining area and 4 log cabins with power. There is no sewer dump or water fill-up for RVs and no actual RV power hook-ups, but there is limited power available. We have horseshoe pits and a fire pit on site, but please bring your own firewood. There is walking access to the lake but no beach.

Diesel’s Owl Hoot Cabins & Campground

Located upstream from the north shore of Lac la Biche, along the Owl River is the quaint and historic site of Diesel’s Owl Hoot Cabins & Campground. The campsite offers a few stalls available with limited power hook-ups and a swimming area in the river off the shore line on the property. This location also offers easy access to the north shores of Lac la Biche with a boat launch nearby and back-country quad trails. Additional information is available for their rustic, but full sheltered cabin facilities.

Plamondon Whitesands Resort

North of Plamondon 2km on HWY 858 and 7km northeast on TWP Road 682, this campground has 182 sites with some offering power and water hook-ups. A dumping station is available on-site. Firewood is available for purchase, with other amenities: shower, playground, boat launch, boat rentals, on-site store, and a large beach and swimming area for everyone to enjoy.

Sir Winston Churchill Provincial Park

Just 13km northeast of Lac La Biche of HWY881 is the only island Provincial Park campground in Alberta with full amenities. There are 72 sites, some with power hook-ups and a dump station on-site. Firewood is available for purchase, with several other amenities onsite: showers, playgrounds, boat launch, on-site store, trails available for hiking and biking, bird watching platforms, and several beaches and swimming areas around the island. The store onsite at the park also offers hourly & daily canoe, kayak, and stand up paddleboard rentals; inviting visitors to not only enjoy their beaches but to discover the lake too!

With access points northeast and southeast of Lac La Biche, Lakeland Provincial Park offers one of Alberta’s only canoe circuits and a backcountry camping experience. With trails for hiking and biking you can traverse through this area by foot, wheels, or water. There are 38 rustic campgrounds available throughout the trail and canoe network.

Chump Lake Campground

Just 1km west and 2km north of Caslan, which his 46 km west of Lac La Biche on HWY 663, is a first-come, first-serve community maintained campsite. A trail system just outside the campground offers some of the best ATVing trails and berry patches in the area.

West on HWY 663, 46km from Lac La Biche and 4km north of Caslan on RR 173A, this campground has 125 sites, some with power hook-ups. Firewood is available for purchase, and there is a playground, boat launch, beach, and swimming area.

There is a playground, beach, and swimming area, along with on-site free lifejackets to use. ATVs are not permitted to be driven in the campground, however a staging area and miles of trails are available just outside of the campground entrance.

This campground is 43km south of Lac La Biche on HWY 36, and 7km east from the turn-off. There are 100 sites with a variety of water and power hook-ups available and a dump station on-site. Firewood is available for purchase with other amenities like: showers, playground, boat launch, on-site store, and a large beach and swimming area.
