Lac La Biche Region » TOURISM

With more than 100 lakes and over 1,300 beach-side campsites and cabins, offering 70% of Alberta’s Class A beaches, the Lac La Biche region is a little piece of paradise in northeast Alberta.

Annually, visitors come to our pristine surroundings for camping, boating, fishing, bird watching, canoeing, cross country skiing and many other outdoor activities year round.

We are a community that takes pride in our cultural diversity, celebrating it through various activities and festivals through the year with several rodeos, pow wows, and community gatherings featuring our culinary backgrounds and performing arts.

Enjoy a personal story from David Baxter and his wife as they found their way to Lac La Biche and fell in love with being here!

If you are planning on visiting or camping in our region please Know Before You Go and be sure to check if there are any advisories for the campgrounds or lakes that you plan to visit or any Fire Bans that may be in effect. If you are uncertain if a Fire Ban is in effect please call our local Alberta Sustainable Resources Development Office at 780-623-5388.
