LOCATION AND GEOGRAPHY
The Lac La Biche region is situated in an ecological area described as central mixed wood boreal forest. It’s characterized by level/rolling terrain, with an abundance of water bodies and large wetlands. The bedrock is deeply buried beneath glacial deposits and the vegetation consists primarily of aspen and popular trees with some white spruce, and in the lowlands, tamarack and black spruce.
With wide-spread vegetation, and over 100 lakes, our region is home to many migratory birds.
